Snowfall Causing Slippery Roads

A band of moderate to heavy snow fell over much of the north country Friday, causing slippery road conditions in some areas.

Mostly affected were Jefferson, northern Lewis and far northern Oswego counties.

Conditions started getting slick early, but plows were out clearing the roads.

Snow was heaviest snow around Adams, Watertown, Fort Drum, Philadelphia, Carthage, Barnes Corners and Lowville

Occasional snow will continue throughout the day.

Some lake effect snow will affect southern Jefferson County and the Tug Hill region overnight and into Saturday.

No more than 2 to 4 inches are expected.
