St. Lawrence Central School Residents Vote On Capital Project

Tools

Voters in the St. Lawrence Central School District in Brasher Falls are going to the polls Tuesday.

They're deciding the fate of a $375,000 capital project to increase security at the elementary and high school buildings.

The project includes providing more secure entrances. Visitors entering the buildings would be monitored and would have to sign in.

Classroom doors will be upgraded so they can be locked from inside.

The proposed work is completely covered by state aid and wouldn't cost taxpayers any money.

Voting is from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the lobby of the high school gym.
