New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has directed state agencies to be on heightened alert because of the Boston Marathon explosions.

They include the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services, state police, the MTA, and the Port Authority.

Cuomo says the New York National Guard already had three vehicles and six soldiers in Boston to support the Marathon.

They're now available to help with the emergency response there.
