State Lawmakers Work To Update Child Porn LawsA day after New York's highest court ruled that simply viewing child pornography online wasn't against state law, some shocked lawmakers acted within 24 hours to introduce a bill to address it. The law would cover video streaming and other viewing that doesn't require downloading or other actions by the viewer to save the images. Although quickly introduced after a Court of Appeals decision, the bill now faces amendments from the Assembly's Democratic majority. |
