This is the last week on the job for New York State Police Captain David Chauvin.
Chauvin is packing up his office and preparing for retirement after 30 years as a trooper.
His one regret is never finding the body of 12 year old Sara Wood, even though her killer is in prison
Still, Chauvin says his career has been very rewarding.
"Every day is like a new experience," he said, "just the people you meet and the things you have to do. At times you think you've seen it all, but then something will happen that is totally new and different and exciting."
Chauvin says if he had to do it all over again, he wouldn't change a thing.
