State Police Take Over Undersheriff Investigation

State police have taken over the investigation of a sexual harassment case in the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.

Undersheriff Andrew Neff was accused of sending harassing text messages and lewd picture messages to an ex-convict.

If state police were not involved, the sheriff himself would be the only one looking into the allegations.

Neff is currently suspended from the sheriff's department indefinitely.
