Stroller Strides Helps Moms With Babies Get Some Exercise

It's called Stroller Strides.

It's a cardio and strength training workout for moms and youngsters go along for the ride.

Moms come to the Salmon Run Mall, not to shop, but rather to break a sweat.

No baby sitter is required.

Kristin VanDusen-Janz owns the Watertown-based FIT4MOM franchise.

She's trained to lead the exercises and motherly instincts handle the rest.

"We have resistance bands that we use. We use the environment, the benches, our body weight, different strength training exercises. We also incorporate the kids into the workout," said VanDusen-Janz.

Susan Boswell is the mother of four, including two year old twins.

She says whether they are meeting in the mall or in the park, she loves the program.

"I love that we get to work out and we can bring our babies and they get interaction with other kids to play and I love that we get to meet other wonderful ladies," said Boswell.

Enrollment in the program starts at $30 dollars.

For more information, visit or call Kristin at 921-3170.

To accommodate those moms who can't make it on weekdays, a Saturday class is being added starting in March.
