Update: Robbery Victim Not Saying MuchThe victim of a Wednesday morning strong-arm robbery in Massena isn't talking, village police say. Police Chief Timmy Currier said the 23 year old victim, who's recovering from his injuries at Massena Memorial Hospital has been uncooperative. He's just not sure why. "It's unclear at this point whether it's resulting from the injuries that he's been uncooperative or not," Currier said, "but we continue to investigate and try to get more information from him." The victim was allegedly jumped by three black men at around 7 a.m. on East Orvis Street. Currier said the robbery appears to be drug related. The men allegedly stole a car and fled the scene. They are believed to be in a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero with a license plate of FMC-1182. Curier said it's possible they have left the area. Anyone with information about the assault is asked to call Massena police at 315-769-3577. |
