National Grid Still Working To Restore PowerNational Grid crews worked all night and into Wednesday afternoon to get the lights back on after strong winds tore through the tri-county area. As of 6 p.m. Wednesday, 357 customers were in the dark in Jefferson County. At one time overnight there were more than 3,700. In Lewis County, 100 customers remained without power compared to the 871 households which were affected as of 7 a.m. In St. Lawrence County, 26 customers were still without power, down from nearly 1,800 customers at one time overnight. National Grid hoped to have most of the power back on by later Wednesday afternoon. Click here for National Grid's map of outages. Power outages also caused problems with the 7 News signal.
