Michael Laisdell, 31, of North Main Street in Adams was killed in the crash.

Deputies said in a press release that Laisdell was operating a Polaris RZR side-by-side utility vehicle on Worth Road in the Town of Montague. He was headed west, and was coming to the crest of a hill.

A truck driven by Anthony Matuszczak, 75, of Gardner Road, Lowville, was going the other way, headed east. The two vehicles collided. Deputies said the utility vehicle was in the center of the road when the crash happened, and primary cause of the accident was "failure to keep right."

A passenger on the utility vehicle, Sean M. Aubin, 38, of Deferiet, complained of pain and was taken to Lewis County General Hospital.
