TV Show 'American Pickers' Coming To North Country

The Lewis County Chamber of Commerce says the television show "American Pickers" is coming to the north country.

The History Channel series is about two men who travel across the nation in search of antiques.

Pickers Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz visit junkyards and barns across the country, meet with the owners and make offers on long-forgotten treasures.

The show is now looking for leads on interesting local characters who have plenty of interesting items.

If you know someone and some place that fits this description, contact American Pickers at (646) 493-2184 or (646) 873-6518.

American Pickers does not go to places with just a few items, shops, antique malls, auctions or flea markets.

The show is not currently looking for any fine furniture, agricultural or farming items/equipment, depression glass, appliances or pottery.

Here's a list of things the pickers are searching for.
