A 17 year old Fishers Landing girl has been arrested for allegedly distracting her mother and causing a motor vehicle accident earlier this week.
Jefferson County sheriff deputies say Sarah Delaney was arguing with her mother, 53 year old Carolyn Delaney, and playing the radio excessively loud.
The distraction allegedly caused her mother to lose control of her vehicle, which left the highway and struck a tree.
Carolyn Delaney suffered a possible broken ankle and injured her arm in the crash.
The accident happened Wednesday on State Route 12 in the town of Clayton.
Sarah Delaney is charged with reckless endangerment. She will appear in Clayton town court at a later date.
