A teenager charged with taking a gun onto Colton-Pierrepont Central School grounds has pleaded guilty to two charges.

According to a news release from the St. Lawrence County district attorney's office, 16 year old Sawyer Pignona of Potsdam pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a weapon on school grounds and second degree menacing.

Pignona was involved in an incident in March in which he brandished a gun from a car as it was driven through a school parking lot.

It was after hours, but several lacrosse players and a coach were outside. The coach took everyone inside and the school was locked down.

The incident happened after an apparent war of words on the social media site Facebook between students at Colton Pierrepont and Potsdam schools.

Sentencing will be in September.

The driver of the car, 17 year old Connor Warden of Potsdam, was also charged.
