Theresa Man Accused Of Using Forged Checks To Steal $68,000

A Theresa man has been accused of  defrauding a local bank for nearly $70,000.

State police say 61 year old  Charles Warner defrauded Citizens Bank of Cape Vincent of more than $68,000 through an ongoing forged-check-cashing scheme.

Warner is charged with second degree grand larceny.

He was arraigned in Orleans town court and sent to Jefferson County jail on $15,000 bail pending additional court action.
