Three Arrested After $40,000 in Wal-Mart Thefts


Three people were arrested in connection with $40,000 worth of merchandise stolen from North Country Wal-Marts.

Travynn Ippolito, 28, Brandy Young, 35, and Nina Duprey, 35, all of the Plattsburgh area were charged with two counts of Conspiracy, a Class A Misdemeanor, and two counts of third degree Grand Larceny, a Class D Felony.

Sheriff's deputies say the three stole more than $24,000 of merchandise from the Potsdam Wal-Mart on January, 23 and January 27 of last month.

Deputies also say the three stole merchandise form the Malone and Massena Wal-Marts and believe the group may have also made thefts at the Plattsburgh and Ticonderoga locations. Ippolito and Young are being held on $15,000 bail at the St. Lawrence County Jail and Duprey was also being held at the jail, but on $10,000 bail.
