A Watertown man was arrested Monday after he allegedly intimidated a Dexter woman by making a throat-cutting gesture.

Jefferson County sheriff's deputies say 35 year old Jeffrey Lafave made the gesture in violation of a just-issued protection order for the alleged victim.

He was charged with second degree criminal contempt and was released after paying $500 bail.
