A routine traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a Clinton County man who is accused of having equipment and supplies to make methamphetamine.

Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies say 48 year old Scott LeClair of Churubusco was stopped for speeding on Route 11 in the village of Philadelphia.

During questioning, police say LeClair admitted to having meth-making supplies and equipment in his car.

Also during questioning, LeClair initially said he was his brother because, police say, his own driver license was revoked.

LeClair was charged with speeding, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, false impersonation and third degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine.

He was being arraigned in LeRay town court Wednesday morning.
