Trudeau To Replace Neff As UndersheriffA replacement has been named for embattled Jefferson County Undersheriff Andrew Neff. Sheriff John Burns said in a news release late Friday morning that Deputy Paul Trudeau will replace Neff, who is expected to retire effective Friday. Neff is the subject of a sexual harassment lawsuit and investigation. He has been off the job since October when accusations surfaced that he sexually harassed Michelle workedof Adams Center. Burns said Trudeau is a 15-year veteran of the department, workled for several years for the state corrections department and is a 20-year Army veteran. Trudeau started with the department in 1998, assigned to the DARE program in 2003 and was awarded the American Legion Post 61 Law and Order Award for a cave rescue in the town of Hounsfield. He was selected in 2004 for the newly formed K-9 unit and is a master instructor in the k-9 program. He will start as undersheriff on February 11 |
