Fire Station Sold To Developer

The former fire station on Arsenal Street in Watertown is being sold to developer Robert Morgan, according to property owner Tim Kelly.

Kelly told 7 News the deal will close this week. He expects Morgan, who is based in the Rochester area, to put a new roof on the building before winter.

Morgan's company is best known in Watertown for developing a large, new housing complex on county route 202 between Outer Arsenal Street and Coffeen Street.

The sale of the fire station comes as the former Mercy of Northern New York is sold to another developer who plans to demolish the hospital complex and build housing. The fire station is adjacent to the Mercy property.
