Vandals Target Signs, Priest's Home In Norfolk

Vandals spray painted a Catholic priest's residence with an obscenity in an overnight criminal mischief spree throughout the Norfolk community.

Someone used green spray paint to write a two word vulgarity on the outside wall of Father Andrew Amyot's house at 11 Hepburn Street.

A similar obscenity was painted on the exterior of the former school building now used by Cornerstone Plumbing-Heating and Cooling.

Vandals also defaced several traffic and street signs.

One traffic sign near the priest's home and the Church of the Visitation was painted with the word 'Satan".

"I was shocked because I had never seen this in this area before or in this village," said Father Amyot.

State police are investigating the rash of vandalism.

Anyone with information is asked to call 379-0012.
