Vehicle Roll-Over Ties Up Downtown Watertown Traffic

A driver has been taken to Samaritan Medical Center after rolling her vehicle in downtown Watertown Thursday, causing a tie-up in early-morning traffic.

Police say the female driver was trapped inside her SUV and emergency workers popped the windshield to free her.

She flipped the vehicle after striking one of the protective barriers at the base of the Roswell P. Flower statue just off Public Square.

The driver's name has not been released. Emergency crews say she was distracted before the accident.
