Volunteers Help Bring Christmas To Cape Vincent
They weren't Santa's helpers, but some volunteers pitched in to spread a little Christmas spirit in Cape Vincent Saturday.
Members of the Cape Vincent Christmas committee decked the village green with ornaments and lights.
Committee members say even though summer is long gone, winter is a special time to visit river and lake communities.
"A lot of these river towns, a lot of people think of them as just summertime towns," Nicole Paratore said.
"Those of us who live here year-round feel like it's important to show our support for the holidays and for the people who live here."
The decorations should be on display until mid-January, but it could be even later if it's too cold for volunteers to get out and take them down.
