Wake-Up Weather: A Cooler, Drier Day

The hot and muggy weather is gone, but only for a couple days.

Early Thursday morning temperatures were nearly 20 degrees cooler than they were 24 hours earlier after a cold front moved through the area Wednesday.

It will be sunny and much less humid the next couple of days. Thursday's highs will be in the low- to mid-70s and on Friday, temperatures will be in the mid-70s.

Saturday will be partly sunny. Mugginess returns, with highs in the upper-70s. Showers and thunderstorms are likely late Saturday into Sunday. Those showers stay with us through Monday. Highs Sunday and Monday will be in the mid-70s.

Tuesday and Wednesday will both be partly sunny with a chance of rain. Highs will be in the low- to mid-70s.
