Warm Weather Attracts Early Toursists To TI Region

This unusually warm spring weather is bringing tourists to the Thousand Islands earlier than ever.

The resort village of Alexandria Bay is coming alive and so are other communities along the St. Lawrence River.

That means more jobs are opening up as businesses try to accommodate early visitors.

The owner of Uncle Sam's Boat Tours says the nicer-than-expected weather is helping business.

"We've never been open in March before. We opened this year on March 26. That week we ran two tours five out of seven days and we've been averaging trips about six out of seven days since then," said Ronald Thomson.

If you're looking for work, businesses along the river are looking for you.

Available jobs range from food servers to maintenance workers.
