Watch: Adams Center Fire Department Opens Doors To Public

The Adams Center fire department joined other fire departments around the state this weekend in the third annual "RecruitNY" drive.

Volunteers opened the fire department's doors to the public Sunday. People got tours of firefighting equipment, youngsters got a chance to spray some water, and everybody learned a little about the need for volunteer firefighters.

"It's a great to have the community come out and support us, to have them realize the time and effort we do put in to keep our community safe," said Dave Williams, an assistant chief with the Adams Center department.
