A Fort Drum soldier is $20,000 richer, thanks to the Davidson Automotive Group.

Quentin Patton won the money Saturday when his key worked in the ignition of a Chevrolet at the auto dealership.

Patton was one of 20 people who got to try keys, out of more than 4,000 people who entered a contest celebrating Davidson's 50th anniversary in business.

He had the choice of the Chevy, a Ford Fusion, a Nissan Ultima or $20,000.

"We're very pleased that it's a gentleman from Fort Drum and the military," said Dwight Davidson, who owns the dealership group. "We're ecstatic we could give back to the military."

For his part, Patton said "I really can't believe that it happened. Hawaii here I come!"
