Chefs from Fort Drum are putting the finishing touches on their technique in preparation for next month's Army-wide culinary arts competition at Fort Lee, Virginia.

The chefs have been working toward the competition for months.

"It can be tedious, doing the same thing over and  over and over for hours and hours," said Sergeant First Class Michael Bogle.

That said, practice makes perfect. A 7 News reporter saw carefully crafted stuffed chickens, edible "pillows" and a chess board made out of chocolate.

"I think they're ready," said Commander Willie Rios of the 10th Sustainment Brigade. "They're motivated and they've put a lot of hard work into their craft."
