Watch: Gas Prices High In St. Lawrence County

Even though gas prices are apparently stabilizing across the nation, you're still paying a high price in the north country.

Case in point: St. Lawrence County.

7 News reporter John Friot found a regular gallon of gas going for $4.19 at some locations. and if you want someone else to do the pumping? $4.25. In contrast, a regular gallon in Watertown could be had for $4.09 Tuesday.

As you'd expect, the reaction to high gas prices is what it's been right along - unhappy.

Taxi driver Larry Janack told Friot gas prices are squeezing his profits.

Motorist Megan Fulton, who does a lot of driving to get to work, called the prices 'tough.'

If there is any good news, gas prices appear to be stablizing nationwide. That's according to  Patrick Dehaan, an industry analyst from the web site

The national average fell ever so slightly between Eastr Sunday and Monday, the Los Angeles Times reported.
