Despite cold weather that has slowed Maple syrup and candy production, the second half of Maple Weekend kicked off as scheduled Saturday.
At farms across northern New York, visitors can sample Maple products, see how those products are made and get out in the elements to watch as sap is collected.
That sap is coming slowly because of the weather, but Maple producers continue to hope for a break.
"It's been cold for the last 10 days; hopefully it'll warm up a little bit in the coming week," said Lyndon Moser of Moser's Maple Ridge Farm in Copenhagen.
There are a number of locations open Sunday, including the American Maple Musem in Croghan.
