Ask snowplow operator Paul Robbins what it takes to operate the plow he uses to clear Route 81 and the most prominent word he mentions is patience.
As in, the ability to keep a steady, 35 miles per hour pace over days that can stretch to 12 hours.
"You've just got to be patient," said Robbins, who has been plowing roads for the state Department of Transportation for the last 12 years. "In our job, you can't rush it or else you'll go off the road."
7 News reporter Candace Dunkley went for a ride with Robbins Thursday as he worked 81. To watch her interview, and see Paujl Robbins on the job, click on the picture.
