During a baptism ceremony Sunday., Allison and Amelia Tucker of Adams were formally, warmly welcomed into the church that has supported them and their parents.
The formerly conjoined twins were separated during a seven hour operation at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in November.
In the months of their mother's pregnancy, the months leading up to the surgery and since, the members of Saint Cecilia's Catholic Church in Adams have offered prayers and help to the girls and their parents, Shellie and Greg.
Sunday, church members got to show what they were feeling, with sustained applause.
"We've been looking forward to this day for a year and a half and now, finally, we're just floating on cloud 9," said Rev. Patrick Ratigan, the pastor of Saint Cecilia's.
"There's a lot of love in here today."
