Pamelia Lifts Boil-Water Advisory

The boil-water advisory for portions of the town of Pamelia has been lifted.

The announcement lifting the advisory came Thursday morning.

Residents had been asked to boil their water before drinking or cooking with it because of a water main break Tuesday morning.

Following is our story from earlier this week:

There's a boil-water advisory for portions of the town of Pamelia as a result of a water main break Tuesday morning.

The break is along Route 37, south of the intersection with Route 342. Residents are asked to boil their water before using it for drinking or cooking.

A spokesman for P&T Supplies and Services, which manages Pamelia's water system, said numerous customers are affected.

Officials hope to have the break repaired by the end of the day. The boil-water advisory can't be lifted until the state health department gives the go-ahead.
