Watertown Firefighters To Get Raises Under New Contract

Watertown City Council is being asked to approve a three year contract with city firefighters.

The pact is retroactive to July 1 of last year and includes 2 percent wage increases for each year of the contract.

It also increases prescription co-pays with an incentive for using generic drugs.

The Professional Firefighters Association presented the proposed contract to its membership last week.

The union ratified the deal.

Council is expected to approve the agreement during next Monday's meeting.
