Watertown House Fire Quickly Extinguished

Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a minor fire at a Watertown home Sunday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to the house at 811 Boyd street around 1 p.m. When they arrived they saw smoke coming from the back of the building.

Because fire fighters were able to quickly contain the flames, there is minimal damage to the home itself.

The enclosed back porch, however, was pretty well destroyed.

City Code Enforcement officials have been called in to determine whether it is safe for residents to continue living in the house while the porch is in that condition.
