Watertown Man Critical After Being Shot In Head

A Watertown man is in critical condition at a Syracuse hospital after being shot in the head.

City police said 25 year old Jonathan McNair was shot at 3 a.m. Wednesday in Apartment 2 at 1021 Boyd Street.

According to police, one shot was fired from a .22 caliber handgun and struck McNair in the head near his left ear.

McNair, who resides as 639 Emerson Street, was taken by ambulance to Samaritan Medical Center.

He was later transferred to a hospital in Syracuse.

Police said the weapon has been recovered.

No other information was released.
