Tools

After 35 years on the job, Lieutenant Frank Derrigo is retiring from the Watertown Police Department.

Friday is his last day.

Derrigo first put on the police uniform in December of 1977.

He rose from patrolman to the rank of lieutenant in charge of detectives.

Derrigo was involved in investigating and solving thousands of crimes and was a very public face of the department as the public information officer.

He plans to begin a new chapter in his life in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.

All of us here at 7 News want to extend our thanks for a job well done and wish him well in retirement.

We'll miss you.
