Watertown Woman Charged In Stabbing Death

A Watertown woman is charged with second-degree manslaughter in Wednesday's stabbing death of her boyfriend on the city's north side.

Krista Goley, 25, was arrested by city police and arraigned on the charge at approximately 5:30 and taken to the Jefferson County Jail.

Goley, originally of Illinois but stationed at Fort Drum, is charged with stabbing her boyfriend, 21 year old Timothy Rolland, in the chest during a domestic dispute.

It happened in an upstairs apartment at 111 East Lynde Street around 1:40 a.m.

Rolland was transported to Samaritan Medical Center's emergency room, where he was pronounced dead just after 2 am.

The couple's downstairs neighbor Mary Bellinger told 7 News she sat on her front porch talking to Goley for nearly two hours Tuesday night and nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

But she said she heard the couple fighting all the time, and also heard pounding and yelling.

It was so loud at times, she thought they'd come down through her ceiling.

Marie Baker, who lives just up the road on St. Mary Street, said she saw the couple fighting when she walked past just last week.

It's unknown why a domestic argument escalated into a fatal stabbing.

Goley's bail was set at $50,000.
