Watertown's Holiday Decorations Come Down

They say what goes up must come down and right now that applies to holiday decorations.

On Wednesday, Watertown's electric department workers began the job of taking down the candy canes, wreaths and other ornaments that have adorned downtown since Thanksgiving.

"It'll take us three days to take everything down and put it away. It takes us about seven to eight days to put everything up," said Ralph Green, department supervisor.

Crews will be stowing away an estimated 75,000 L.E.D. lights which lit up the streets and Public Square displays.
