Weather Puts Drone Search Efforts On Hold

The weather has thwarted the latest efforts by the 174th Attack Wing to search for its missing drone.

The MQ-9 Reaper went missing during a training flight over Lake Ontario last week and only a few pieces of debris have been recovered.

174th spokesperson Major Sandy Stoquert said there was no shoreline search Monday because of high winds and waves on the lake.

No search is planned for Tuesday.

An Air Force safety board has arrived in Syracuse to conduct an investigation into the crash.
