We got a little less snow than expected Wednesday, but only a little. There was still plenty to shovel, plow and play in.
7 News weathercaster John Kubis said at 6 pm Wednesday that the north country was spared the maximum snowfall predicted, but we still got enough.
By John's count at 6, Clayton had six inches of snow, Croghan had five and a half inches, Watertown had four, Lowville had two inches, Carthage had an inch and a half.
The worst of it was overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, with the weather improving slowly through the day. The winter storm warning will be formally lifted at 7 a.m. Thursday.
Up next? Cold weather.
