Woman Accused Of Forging Mother's Checks

A St. Lawrence County woman is facing charges after allegedly cashing checks belonging to her mother.

Twenty-four year old Angela Hughes of North Lawrence is charged with two counts of second degree forgery after police say she signed her mother's name on two checks, without her mother's knowledge.

Police say the checks were valued at $50 and $60 dollars and were cashed at a local bar.

Hughes was released to appear in court at a later date.
