A former St. Lawrence County woman was recently extradited from Ohio to face charges after she allegedly stole $3,000 from a Wounded Warrior program.

State police say 50 year old Jill Kubik, formerly of Chase Mills and also known as Jill McCabe, was keeping cash donations and also signing and cashing donation checks while helping out with fundraisers for the Wounded Warrior Outdoors adventure program.

Warrants were issued for her arrest by Waddington town court in March and the U.S. Marshall Service located her in Gallipolis, Ohio in April.

She was charged with first degree scheming to defraud, second degree forgery and third degree grand larceny, all felonies.

Kubik was arraigned in the Waddington court and taken to St. Lawrence County jail without bail.
