Woman Accused Of Stealing Grandmother's Identity
A 27 year old Pierrepont Manor woman is accused stealing her grandmother's identity to spend thousands of dollars at area businesses.
State police arrested Rebecca Keegan of 15952 County Route 91 on the following charges:
- 2 counts of second-degree forgery
- 1 count of first-degree identity theft
- 1 count of third-degree grand larceny
- 1 count of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property
- 1 count of petit larceny
According to police, Keegan forged the signature of Beverly Wilson on both Wilson's personal checks and off of her stolen credit card.
Between July and September of last year, Keegan allegedly spent $3,653.97 of Wilson's money at area businesses.
Keegan is currently behind bars in the Oswego County Jail on separate charges.
She was arraigned in Adams Town Court and returned to the jail on $5,000 bail.
Her case is pending grand jury action.
