Woman Accused Of Trying To Run Down Dog Warden

A dispute over a family pet has landed a Colton woman in hot water after she allegedly tried to run down a dog warden.

The St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Department arrested 25 year old Elizabeth Remington of 445 Orebed Road.

Sheriff Kevin Wells tells 7 News Remington drove her vehicle at a high rate of speed towards the town's dog warden.

The alleged incident happened while the warden was operating his tractor on East Hill Road at approximately 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Remington was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of reckless endangerment.

Deputies previously charged Remington with assault a day earlier for allegedly attacking the dog warden as he was attempting to serve legal papers to Remington's husband.

She was ticketed and an order of protection was issued.
