A Finger Lakes-area woman was injured in a snowmobile accident in Lewis County over the weekend.

Sheriff's deputies say 48 year old Constance Tyrrell of Genoa, N.Y. drove her sled over the crest of a hill and around a corner on the Duppert Road in the town of West Turin.

Police say she tapped her brakes, causing the machine to slide sideways and roll. She fell off and the snowmobile rolled on top of her.

She was taken to Lewis County General Hospital complaining of pain in her right shoulder.
