Watch: On St. Lawrence, Getting Ready To Raise Rods, Reels

Tools

Many of the best fishermen in the world will be in St. Lawrence County this week and weekend for the latest stop on the Bassmaster Elite tournament circuit.

The "Evan Williams Bourbon Showdown" starts Thursday and runs through Sunday.

Like the Nascar and pro golf circuits, the professional fishing world is made up of a series of tournaments. The Waddington event is the seventh of the 2013 season.

The fishermen are arriving now, and practicing in the waters of the St. Lawrence.

Matt Greenblatt, from Florida, spent some time on the river and declared "It's just full of good fish."

And former Bassmaster Classic champion Mike Iaconelli noted "The fishing's not difficult.

The difficult part's gonna be finding the better grade fish - this place is loaded with largemouth and smallmouth, it's finding the four pound fish."

(Also, you can apparently play along in a fantasy fishing circuit.)
