Democratic Party chairmen from Jefferson, Oswego, Lewis and St. Lawrence counties will dine with Gov. Andrew Cuomo tonight in the executive mansion.

The four are going after Cuomo invited all county Democratic chairmen statewide to the event.

I talked briefly with Sean Hennessey, Jefferson's Democratic chair, who confirmed his attendance - as well as that of Lewis chair Linda Sandri, St. Lawrence chair Mark Bellardini and Oswego chair Mike Kunzwiler.

Hennessey said he doesn't know what's on the menu - either to eat or talk about - but said he's got a lot to talk to Cuomo about.

I'd imagine one of those issues is Jefferson County's lack of a treasurer. Democrat Nancy Brown retired Friday, and her party has tried for months to have a replacement appointed.

The Jefferson County Democrats have said they will introduce their new treasurer by Saturday, but Hennessey declined to confirm Monday that that is still the timeline.

Hennessey said he is unlikely to attend the state Democratic Party's spring meeting in Suffolk County this week.
