Erik Dunk, the owner of Harley-Davidson Iron Block in Adams Center removed a political message about President Obama and Muslims on the advice of his lawyer, who had spoken with corporate attorneys.

Here's a sampling of your emails:

If the owner wants to voice a message, then erect his own electronic sign and post away. But, HD is correct.

Danny Francis

I liked Mr. Dunk's signage and the point he made. I'm sad that he felt pressure from probably some non-American, left-wing LOON, to take the sign down.

Earl Klock

Racial bigotry and religious intolerance are not reasons Americans proudly ride Harleys with the Stars and Stripes flying. Just the opposite. Ask the veterans who ride them what they fought for and what America stands for.

Robert Johnson

All this 'political/free speech' garbage is a ruse - Erik's sucking up some free advertising.  It's all about the Benjamins man.

Bob Ingersoll

On the day his trial was supposed to begin, Harry Klages II pleaded guilty to the stabbing and mutilation of Andrew Lesperance. Klages will be sentenced to nearly 40 years in prison.

Here are some of your emails:

Charge a guy with attempted murder and then let him plead to assault. if the Gitmo detainees were tried here in St. Lawrence County, they would all be placed on probation!

Jerry Maloney

I hope Harry never gets another chance to hurt someone else, has enough time to get the psychiatric help he needs and is always reminded of what he did.

Wendi Clouthier

This makes a great case for the death penalty.

Brian Deshane

The thought Klages may indeed someday walk the streets again a free man is utterly terrifying!
