Your Turn: Your Feedback On Cribs & Lottery

The deaths of a 7-month-old child in Gouverneur and three other infants across the country prompted the massive recall of Stork Craft cribs across the nation.  Meanwhile, a Watertown woman says a crib that is not part of the national recall came dangerously close to killing her one year old son. She wants the crib made by Dorel Asia added to the list of those banned.

Here are some of your emails:

Since the story broke about the crib recall, I have been concerned about the brand I have purchased too. The cribs are way too rickety.  I think that ALL cribs should be recalled and replaced with cribs without a drop side. I'm replacing mine and not waiting for a recall. I urge others as well not to wait.

Dan Decker

I am very concerned about all these cribs being recalled. My daughter, who is 3 months old, has a Dorel Asia crib the same as the boy that got trapped in his.

I am a Compliance Officer at the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and have been investigating incidents involving children with Dorel Asia cribs in which the drop-side failed. We are working with the company on a similar recall as Stork Craft. Feel free to contact me either by email at or 301-504-7509.

Brian and Karen Long of Parishville won $1 million playing the lottery.

Here are some of your messages:

Congratulations Brian and Karen!! Always like to see someone win who really needs the do-re-meeee.

Needless to say, $1 million can make a lot of dreams come true.

Maria Flasher

If I won a million dollars, the first call you would get from me would be long distance and from a warmer climate. Seriously though, it's fun to dream but I think I would help someone that was less fortunate than me.
