Struggling dairy farmers are getting a federal bailout. In the north country, it's millions of dollars, but it's cash that won't last long in an industry industry fighting to stay afloat.

The farmers have been taking a beating for a long time - decades actually. The federal government may be helping them out, but the government has been sending more money elsewhere rather than taking care of their own here at home.
The Watertown International Airport is looking to bring in larger planes by extending the runway but the catch is, the feds are only meeting them halfway. The good news is - the federal government has approved a runway extension. The bad news is - it's not long enough.

Many of us who no longer live in Watertown would rather fly straight to Watertown than have to go through Syracuse. I think those of us who left must number in the thousands - so please do extend that runway so we can go back for a quick visit.
